Northrop Grumman Elects Patrick M. Antkowiak Corporate Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) announced today that its board of directors has elected Patrick M. Antkowiak, corporate vice president and chief technology officer, effective immediately. In this new role, Antkowiak will be responsible for developing and executing corporate technology strategy, setting technology plans and serving as primary interface with technology leaders in the customer community, with industry and university research partners. He will report to Wes Bush, the company's chairman, chief executive officer and president, and serve on the company's Corporate Policy Council.

"Pat is a proven leader and will provide strategic direction for Northrop Grumman's technology programs in support of our customers' missions," Bush said. "His experience in advanced product development and technology will be invaluable as he takes on this new role."

Antkowiak joined the company in 1981 and has held a variety of positions in engineering, program management and product development. He currently is vice president and general manager of the Advanced Concepts and Technologies Division in the Electronic Systems sector. Prior to this position, he served as vice president for strategy and capability development in the sector's Engineering and Manufacturing organization, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of product development roadmaps and technology strategy. He also has served as director of space systems for Electronics Systems, where he was responsible for the development of a wide portfolio of radio frequency and electro-optical space sensor and space superiority concepts and technologies for future national security programs.

Antkowiak earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in computer engineering from the University of Maryland. He has also completed the General Manager's Program at Harvard University.
