May 8, 2015: Smt. K. Hemalatha has taken over as Regional Executive Director, Western Region in Airports Authority of India at Mumbai recently who was instrumental in implementation of Airport information management system at all the airports in the Southern & North Eastern Region for accounting of Traffic & Non-traffic Revenue.

She possesses vast experience as Senior Financial & Operations Professional with more than 25 years in managing regional Airports, and directing & improving Corporate Financial Operations both in Manufacturing and Services Sector with a history of re-organizing financial departments and a proven ability to increase performance, improve top-line growth and profitability. Prior to this elevation, she had worked as General Manager (Finance) at Chennai Airport, Airport Director at Coimbatore Airport and acting Regional Executive Director, (NER). She had been honoured by Rotary Club, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) & World of Women (WOW) for exemplary services rendered as Airport Director at Coimbatore Airport.

She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from ICAI and B.Sc., in Mathematics from Madras University. She has also passed Diploma in International Trade Law, WTO & ITL. She had attended International Aviation Programmes like International Airport Professional (IAP) and Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP). She is an avid reader and a good listener.
