• Andrew Rankin named Vice President, Strategy & Business Development, Asia/Pacific
• Air Marshal Geoff Brown (ret), former Chief of Royal Australian Air Force, named Chairman of CAE's advisory board for Asia/Pacific

February 4, 2016: CAE today announced the appointment of Andrew Rankin as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the Asia/Pacific region within the company's Defence & Security business unit.

In addition, CAE announced the formation of an advisory board for the Asia/Pacific region to help guide the company's strategy and initiatives within the defence market segment. Former Chief of the Royal Australian Air Force, retired Air Marshal Geoff Brown, was named Chairman of CAE's Defence & Security advisory board for Asia/Pacific.

Andrew comes to CAE with over 30 years of experience in the defence and aerospace training industry. Most recently, he was General Manager of Strategy and Business Development for Aviation Australia, a training organisation focused on providing a range of courses for graduates looking to pursue a career in aviation as well as aviation professionals advancing their careers. Prior to Aviation Australia, Andrew held a variety of positions at CAE Australia Pty Ltd, including program management, engineering, training services and business development. Andrew started his career in the Royal Australian Air Force where he spent 13 years as an avionics technician specialising in simulation. He will officially rejoin CAE on March 7, 2016.

Air Marshal Geoff Brown retired from the Royal Australian Air Force in July 2015 after a distinguished 35-year career. For the last four years in the RAAF, he was Chief of Air Force with overall responsibility for the aerospace capabilities and future positioning of the RAAF. He will now provide consulting services for CAE and lead the company's Asia/Pacific advisory board for the defence market.
