Embraer has advanced discussions with Thai Aviation Industries (TAI) for a potential partnership aimed at establishing TAI as a future local authorized service center. The initiative could enhance in country maintenance capabilities for the Royal Thai Armed Forces' (RTARF) ERJ135 fleet. The initiative may be implemented by the end of 2026.

This collaboration marks the next phase of the Memorandum of Understanding between Embraer and TAI, reinforcing the importance of joint contribution to build a solid aerospace and defense ecosystem in Thailand through local industrial engagement and strategic partnerships.

"The ERJ135s continue to be a useful asset to the Thai government and we are impressed by Embraer's growing portfolio of aircraft," said Air Chief Marshal Piboon Vorravanpreecha, Managing Director of TAI. "Our partnership with Embraer demonstrates Thailand's growing capabilities in aerospace support services. We're proud to be Embraer's trusted partner in the region and look forward to exploring broader opportunities as our relationship deepens."

"This partnership with TAI is about building long-term self-reliance and capability in Thailand's aviation industry," said Carlos Naufel, President and CEO, Embraer Services & Support. "By investing in local partnerships, we're creating the foundation for deeper collaboration across our portfolio, including opportunities for future platforms. We see strong potential for the KC 390 Millennium's advanced multi mission capabilities to support Thailand's long term strategic defense requirements."
