At the prestigious Paris Air Show 2025, Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) proudly announced a new partnership with SalamAir, Oman's low-cost carrier, marking another major step in its global LEAP-1A engine support program.
This newly signed contract will provide quick-turn support for SalamAir's LEAP-1A engines, starting with three engines immediately, and with additional units expected as SalamAir's fleet continues to expand. The agreement was officially signed in May 2025 and celebrated today with a joint ceremony attended by senior leaders from both companies, including SalamAir CEO Adrian Hamilton-Manns.
"We are honored to begin this partnership with SalamAir, a carrier that has shown remarkable dynamism in the Middle East region," said Pierre Teboul, SVP Commercial at Air France-KLM Engineering & Maintenance. "This contract is not just a testament to the trust our customers place in us—it demonstrates the unmatched value of our quick-turn expertise and our ability to tailor flexible solutions for rapidly growing airlines."
"Partnering with a global MRO leader like AFI KLM E&M is a significant milestone for SalamAir," said Adrian Hamilton-Manns, CEO of SalamAir. "As we scale up our operations and fleet, we need a maintenance partner that combines technical excellence with flexibility and responsiveness. AFI KLM E&M brings that, and more."
This partnership aligns with SalamAir's long-term strategic goals to ensure high aircraft availability, operational efficiency, and enhanced reliability for its expanding route network.
The agreement with SalamAir is especially significant as it positions AFI KLM E&M as a LEAP-1A MRO provider with customers across all continents, reinforcing the company's global leadership in engine maintenance services. It also deepens AFI KLM E&M's presence in the Middle East, a region where the aviation market continues to see robust growth and transformation.
